I.T.I. Courses are the courses that are meant for training a student in the technical and non-technical fields. The I.T.I. admission provides earning opportunities right after class 10th or 12th. These courses are vocational training courses that exclusively impart essential skills for getting a job after class 10th or 12th. The Industrial Training Institutes provide vocational training courses to students so that they are able to secure a job when the course ends. The objective of these courses is to help the students to start a small scale business along with helping them to get jobs in the Private and Government sectors. The courses that the ITIs offer are called “Trades” which focus on specific skillsets as per the requirement of the industry. These courses can range anywhere between being six months to two years long. The length of course duration depends on what kind of course it is and its nature.

ITI Course Information: ITI Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission in the I.T.I. courses must check the eligibility criteria to avoid rejections. The eligibility requirements include age limit, educational qualification and minimum score. Find below the I.T.I. eligibility criteria-

Age Limit

  1. Candidates who come under 14-40 age group on the date of the start of admission session are eligible for admission.

  2. There is an age relaxation of five years for ex-serviceman and war widows.

Educational Qualification

The requirement for academic qualification is subjective and differs from Class 8 to Class 12, depending on the course chosen by the candidate.

ITI Courses 2022: Tasks

The authority offers training in a range of courses under the aegis of National Vocational Training. There are two programs designed to provide vocational training – Craftsman Training Scheme and Apprenticeship Training Scheme. Candidates will need to demonstrate the below-mentioned tasks to clear the I.T.I. courses:

  1. Aspirants are required to apply professional skills, knowledge and employability skills while performing their tasks

  2. Aspirants must know to read and interpret technical parameters/documents, plan and organize work processes, identify necessary materials and tools.

  3. Candidates must be able to document the technical factors related to the task undertaken.

  4. Candidates must be skilled in performing tasks with due attention to safety rules, accident prevention regulations and environmental protection stipulations.
